Why work with me

Not a generalist. A published researcher.

The academic support I offer is grounded in the same skills I use in my professional research consultancy. This isn't generic tutoring — it's guidance from someone who works with evidence and academic writing every day.

I hold two MSc degrees, both with Distinction — HRM & Organisational Analysis from King's College London (awarded Best Overall Performance) and Occupational Psychology from Goldsmiths, University of London. My work has been published in peer-reviewed journals and as a book. I've developed lecture materials and marked MSc and BSc assignments at Goldsmiths, so I understand what examiners look for. And if your dissertation involves data, I'm proficient in SPSS for statistical analysis and can help with methodology and interpretation.

Who I help

I work with students from undergraduate to Master's level, as well as academics, across psychology, HRM, organisational behaviour, and the broader social sciences. I offer flexible scheduling, including weekends and late evenings, to fit around your deadlines.

Common Questions

Frequently asked questions

What should a literature review include?
A strong literature review includes a clear search strategy (identifying which databases and keywords you used), critical appraisal of each source (not just description), thematic synthesis that groups sources by theme rather than listing them one by one, identification of gaps in the existing research, and a coherent argument that positions your own research within the broader field. It should demonstrate that you understand the landscape and can evaluate evidence critically.
How do I choose a dissertation topic?
Start with a broad area that interests you, then narrow it by checking feasibility: is there enough existing literature to build on? Can you realistically collect the data you need within your timeframe? Does it align with your programme's requirements and your supervisor's expertise? A good topic is specific enough to be manageable but broad enough to find sufficient sources. I can help you refine a topic through structured discussion about scope, methodology, and the existing evidence base.
How is academic support different from proofreading?
Proofreading focuses on surface-level corrections — grammar, spelling, punctuation, and formatting consistency. Academic support goes much deeper: it covers argument structure, methodology, use of evidence, critical analysis, and how well your work meets assessment criteria. I offer both services, but most students benefit most from the structural and methodological guidance that shapes the quality of their work from the outset.
Can you help with quantitative or qualitative dissertations?
Yes, both. For quantitative research, I have extensive experience with SPSS for statistical analysis, survey design (using Qualtrics and SurveyMonkey), and interpreting results. For qualitative research, I use NVivo for thematic analysis and have processed thousands of pages of interview transcripts in my professional work. I also support mixed-method dissertations that combine both approaches — this is my specialist area from a decade of professional research consultancy.
What subjects do you cover?
My academic background and professional experience are strongest in psychology, human resource management (HRM), organisational behaviour, occupational psychology, and the broader social sciences. I hold two MSc degrees — one in HRM & Organisational Analysis from King's College London and one in Occupational Psychology from Goldsmiths — both with Distinction. I also support students in business studies and management where the dissertation involves research methodology I'm experienced with.
